The Destruction of the Amazon Rainforest:
At the being the rain forest covered 14% of the Earth and now it is done to 6%. Every minute 1 1/2 acres are being destroyed. It is being destroyed because of the value of the tree timber and and of fires. We are responsible for this. This is reacting on the people by killing them. About 5 centuries ago there were  over 10 million people living in the rainforest and now there is only 200 thousand. This is affecting the plants and animals by killing them. This kills them by the smoke and the animals need the food which are the plants. The Areas outside of the rainforest are crowded and are decreasing in population.
Efforts to Conserve The Amazon Rainforest:
In the past the people have been cutting back on the trees and were controlling the fires. In the present we are doing the same things. This is not a simple matter because you can't watch it every single minute. Some of the conservationist were having issues. Here is one problem with the conclusion. In 1992 there was a 34% increase by fires. They fought it by controlling it, and now there is 50% growing back!
