The surrounding oceans are South Pacific, South Atlantic, North Pacific, and North Atlantic. The rivers in South America are Salado, Parana Uruguay, Pilcomay, Xingu, Madeira, Amazon, Maranon, and Magdalena. There are also mountains which are the Colorado Mountains and the Andes Mountains. The Andes Mountains are located in the west part of Argentina, also known as being located all the way down the western coast.
The Amazon Rainforest: The rain forest is located in many different countries. They are Brazil, French Guyana, Suriname,

and Guyana. The rainforest covers about 3/4 of the South America's land. The rain forest is also known as " Lungs of The Planet." It got this name because it provides the essential environmental world service of  recycling carbon dioxide into oxygen. More then 20 percent of the world's oxygen in produced in he rainforest.  The rain forest is being destroyed by fires and it is also getting polluted by the flames. This could cause the animals and plants to die.
