South America:
South America has many different countries in it. They are as follows: Venezuela, Colomia, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguary.  The oceans that surround S. America are Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. The mountains are the Andes Mt. There are also eight rivers as following: Amazon, Riodela la Plata, Orinoca, Magdalena, and Cauca Sao Francisco. The main river though is the Amazon River. There are many different cultures in South America. Some of them are the Incas. The Incas came here between 1200-1535 AD from Peru. The Chimu came from Chan Chan in 1000-1400 AD. They fought the Incas, but the Incas won. The Tiwanaka came here in 400 BC from Bolivian. They had over 30,000 people in their group. Nazca came here in 250-750 AD . They are famous for their pottery. The Chavin are still here today in Peru and Amazonian lowlands.
The Amazon Rainforest:
The Amazon Rainforest has many countries in it. They are as following: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil. The rainforest covers over 1.2 billion acres of land. It would be the ninth largest country in the world if it was one. It covers over 2/5 of South America. The Amazon Rainforest is known as "Lungs of the planet." It provides and makes most of the oxygen that we breath today. It also has many different kinds of endangered animals. People are hunting the animals for their skin and horns, like the elephants.
