These plants are producers. They are considered producers because they make their own food instead of relying  on other plants or animals for the food.

Babassu palm

Name of plant: Babuassu palm

Description of Plant: The Babuassu palm is native to the Amazon valley and is found in a widespread concentration. 
 
Uses of Plan: The leaves provide thatch and can be woven into mats for constructing house walls.
 

Name of Plant: Peach Palm Fruits

Description of plant: It grows a cluster of several trunks each reaching to 20 meters tall. The leaves on the Peach Palm Fruits get up to 2 meters long also spinned with ferocious  10 centimeters long needles.

 

 
Uses of Plant (consumption/medicinal): People use this plant to get a chestnut and a potato flavoring. To get the flavoring they boil the seeds for about one hour or more.

Name of Plant: corn

Description of Plant: Corn grows in the 

Spring and gets to be about 5 feet or to six feet tall. It is yellow and some ears of corn have white kernels.

 
Uses of Plant: People use it to eat  and some types of corn are only for cattle or other animals.
